SINGAPORE, 11 May 2022 – Accredify, Asia Pacific’s leading verification solutions provider, today announced the opening of its first overseas office located in Sydney, Australia as part of its international expansion strategy. This will be the company’s first office beyond its headquarters located in Singapore.

The decision to set up a physical office in Australia was motivated by the need to build and strengthen the company’s relationships with partners and clients in the region. Accredify’s Australian office will also serve as its ANZ headquarters to invest in the regional market and to build a team of local talents to support the firm’s growth.

The move was also driven by the Australian government’s announcement of its Digital Economy Strategy, where it aims to invest more in emerging technologies such as blockchain as well as expanding the use of its Digital Identity System.

Accredify’s developer-friendly platform allows organisations to create, issue, and verify tamper-proof documents that are traceable back to the source of issuance. Documents issued by Accredify can be instantly verified by a QR code scan or through a simple drag-and-drop portal. By automating manual processes that are traditionally required in the creation and verification of high-stake documents, Accredify’s clients have experienced up to 50% reduction in manhours on the time taken to verify these documents.

The firm’s technology is industry-agnostic, and Accredify is currently present in the education, healthcare, corporate, defence, and aviation industries. Accredify’s client demographics range from SMEs to government and statutory boards.

Accredify has appointed Accredify’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr Simon Gordon, as Managing Director of Australia. Mr Gordon oversees Accredify’s commercial activities which includes the establishment of new verticals, partnerships, sales, and post-sales functions. Mr Gordon will be responsible for forging strategic partnerships with industry leaders in Australia to grow Accredify’s enterprise customer base in the country.

Following intensive market research, Accredify’s focal industry for its penetration into the Australian market will be the country’s education sector, which has shown intent on developing an education passport for students to store verifiable education certificates.
