During the COVID-19 pandemic, Singapore’s foreign workers had taken the brunt of the virus due to congested living conditions in their dormitories which caused the virus to proliferate and spread at an exponential rate. In preparation for dormitories and workers to be cleared of the disease and authorise work resumption, Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) developed the FWMOMCare app which helped to track workers’ health records.

MOH used Accredify’s technology to protect the electronic discharge memos given to foreign workers who had recovered from the virus or tested negative from tampering while providing a way for authorities to easily verify the authenticity of the discharge memo.
