SINGAPORE, 16 March 2021 – Accredify is one of the vendors that help private healthcare providers issue digital verifiable COVID-19 test results known as HealthCerts. Eligible clinics that adopt Accredify’s solution can also receive funding support from the Advanced Digital Solutions (ADS) grant under the Infocomm Media Development Authority’s (IMDA) SMEs Go Digital programme.

This follows the recent mandate which directed that all clinics providing COVID-19 pre-departure tests must issue digital COVID-19 medical records in the form of HealthCerts. In contrast to physical COVID-19 swab results, digital HealthCerts can be verified instantly with a QR code scan, facilitating a seamless COVID health clearance for both travellers and immigration authorities during travel.

Encouraging general practitioners and small private healthcare providers to adopt HealthCert technology presents numerous benefits to clinics. In the future, HealthCerts can be expanded to include other documents such as medical certificates, care plans, immunizations, and other travel vaccinations. Through the ADS Grant, Accredify will look to accelerate the healthcare sector’s ability to digitalise and streamline their administrative processes.

Small medium enterprises located in Singapore are eligible for the ADS funding support (refer to Appendix I for the full list of eligibility criteria). Under the ADS Grant, IMDA will fund up to 80% of an eligible clinic’s package. Interested medical providers must apply for the Grant by 29 January 2022.

Integrating Accredify into a clinic’s healthcare management system will vastly reduce the time and manpower costs required to issue HealthCerts. By utilising Accredify’s issuance portal, clinics will be able to automate the creation of HealthCerts by drawing upon a patient’s medical data and pre-populating it into a document template. Clinics can choose to distribute encrypted HealthCerts to patients via SMS or email through the issuance portal. Upon receiving their HealthCerts, patients will have to notarise their COVID medical record on the Notarise website for travel.

Accredify is already working with close to 400 clinics and five laboratories in Singapore, including some of the largest private laboratories.

Eligibility criteria for small medium enterprises (Company) who can claim from the IMDA Advanced Digital Solutions Grant:

• Be registered and operating in Singapore;

• Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding;

• Company’s Group annual sales turnover not more than $100 million;

• Company’s Group employment size not more than 200 workers
